Since 1990s
Jinjiang footwear industry started in the early 1990s, when the region was mainly characterized by small workshops and family handicrafts. With the rapid development of China’s economy and the expansion of the footwear market, Jinjiang gradually formed an industrial system dominated by the footwear industry. Based on this, the Jinjiang footwear industry has started to develop towards branding, industrial clusters, specialization, technology and internationalization. Today, Jinjiang has become one of the largest footwear production bases in China, with a number of leading footwear brands and shoe material accessories companies.
Present Days
Jinjiang’s shoe materials industry is currently experiencing a shift towards more sustainable and innovative practices, as companies prioritize the development of environmentally-friendly and technologically-advanced materials in response to changing consumer demands and global trends. This is driving a wave of research and development, as well as partnerships and collaborations, aimed at creating new materials and processes that offer improved performance, durability, and comfort while also reducing waste and minimizing environmental impact.
